Kavos |2.76km from city center When you stay at Capo di Corfu in Corfu, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Agios Petros Beach and 14 minutes by foot from Lefkimmi Port. *Restaurant recommendations* 'The Village restaurant' - great Greek entertainment, plate smashing and music. There is a quieter bar across from Tex Mex for a chilled beer or glass of wine later when the music turns up elsewhere. Nice place to sit late afternoon/early evening and people watch. If you turn left, walk 2 mins to the bus stop, and turn left at the Tex Mex restaurant, you'll find Pulse Bar with TV screens for sports, pool tables, bowling etc. *Kavos Bars* A couple of late night music bars/nightclubs at the top of the road, to the right. 2 big ones close by, but do shop around if you are buying spirits or wines. *Amenities* Plenty of supermarkets around. Just follow the advice and don't flush paper. Aircon was excellent and much needed! Bathroom was small, with some toilet flush power issues, but again, to be expected in Greece and no uncommon. Plenty of cupboard space, with a security safe. We always chilled out there before going out and after coming home. Rooms are basic, but the bed was very comfy, house keeping kept it very clean and the balcony was a good size. *Rooms* We had a double bed room with balcony and a sea view. Wifi was good, even on the beach you could connect. Breakfast was very good, much better than I was expecting based off previous Greek trips! We had dinner at the hotel one night which was very nice (seabass) with some lovely local white wine (dry). Reception was very helpful with booking taxi's, storing cases and proving access to the shower room. It could get a little busy in early the afternoons but morning and late afternoon it was fairly quiet and at times we had the pool to ourselves. The pool doesn't have any seating around it, but it was lovely to take a dip in it and return to the bar for a drink. The pool bar and restaurant were well stocked. You never had a problem getting a sun lounger and a brolly. The beach was mainly clean, and spotless around the hotel beds, but like most places, the beaches suffer from plastics in certain spots. You can walk along the beach to other restaurants and bars, without having to go into the main town. It had a lovely mix of local and European guests. *Hotel* The hotel itself is right on the beach, quiet, with a nice vibe. It's a 1 hour+ transfer from the airport on some bendy roads. There are some great places to eat/drink around, which I have recommended below. *Location* Kavos is lively but not as lively as a lot of places I have been and the hotel is situated away from the main road so is quiet and peaceful.
